PBO- Zylon PBO is the strongest fiber listed and most expensive, but has some undesirable traits. The PBO fiber actually degrades in light- even in the shop. So the rope has to be stored in a box, and only installed on the boat for regattas. Any dings in the cover need to be repaired immediately as the sun will quickly degrade the line.

However PBO actually makes for a incredible high performance cover for anything that works on a winch. (Due to the current price per pound of Zylon, PBO may stand for "Poor Boat Owner"). Examples of cordage containing PBO: Progen II, Pobon, Ice.
